The Sables L.G. quarry started its production in the early 1960s and is rich with sand and gravel deposits supported by a large granitic body (granite gneiss). Located in Quebec’s Low Laurentians area, this production site produces high quality aggregates characterized by excellent mechanics, including outstanding resistance to wear, polish and freezing-thawing. These aggregates do especially well when used for civil engineering, rail road, ballast cement or bituminous concrete works.
Sables L.G. was acquired by BauVal in 1965, thus becoming the quarry with the largest volume of natural, crushed, washed and manufactured rare quality granular material.
