BNQ MR-1 TO MR-7 RECYCLED AGGREGATE MATERIALS (MGR) /More details
In the objectives set by the Quebec government in its Politique de gestion des matières résiduelles (Policy on residual materials management), the reclamation and recycling of all materials derived from the construction, renovation and demolition industry (CRD) represent a primary goal to reach in terms of volume and quantity reduction. Among these materials, demolition concrete (cement and bituminous concrete) offers a high recycling potential.
BAUVAL’s divisions and quarries offer reclamation services and the supply of recycled materials. These services allow BAUVAL to advantageously combine the operation of reclamation with the use of recycled materials in both an economical and environmental manner.
The use of recycled materials allows to save natural aggregates resources. In complying with NQ 2560-600/2002 standard on recycled materials made of cement and bituminous concrete, BAUVAL’s clients are ensured that these are of comparable quality with conventional aggregates.
These materials therefore meet the quality criteria regarding particle size and physical, chemical and environmental characteristics.
The combination of reclamation operations with the use of recycled materials offers clients the chance to benefit from the efficient double-usage of transportation vehicles. In addition to the comprehensive gain registered by complying with sustainable development principles, this transportation economy represents a reduction in the environmental impact of the CRD industry. This translates into a natural resources economy, handling and transportation savings, the preservation of the road network and the reduction of air emissions including greenhouse gas.
